Stop TB Romania

Founded in 2014, Stop TB Romania is a non-profit network based in Bucharest, Romania working on health.

Stop TB Romania is an informal network of non-governmental and student organisations, medical and other bodies in Romania that advocates for the right of people affected by or at risk of tuberculosis to information, diagnosis, complete treatment until cure, and adequate support services. The partnership works with national and international health authorities, promotes evidence-based prevention, diagnosis and treatment policies, and runs public information campaigns, including on World TB Day. It also collects research and data on tuberculosis and related mental health issues, and provides an online public health course and a digital tool for TB patients. It was formed in 2014 by founding organisations and is the national partner of the Stop TB Partnership, which is based in Geneva. Membership is open to NGOs, the private sector, media, academic institutions and professional organisations.
