StopCorrupt, legally the Association Pour la Promotion de la Transparence a.s.b.l. (APPT), is an independent non-profit association under Luxembourg law, founded in 2009. It works to combat corruption and influence peddling, promote transparency and strengthen the Luxembourg system. Its activities include a free hotline for individuals, advocacy and policy platforms, research and reports on corruption and whistleblower protection, and work on beneficial ownership transparency. It operated as the Luxembourg chapter of Transparency International until 30 June 2017 and has since been independent. It is recognised as a public-benefit organisation (reconnue d'utilité publique) by grand-ducal decree of 12 May 2011, and donations are tax-deductible in Luxembourg. It is funded mainly by private donations and membership fees.
