The Stung Treng Women's Development Center (SWDC) is a humanitarian non-governmental organisation in Stung Treng Province, Cambodia. Founded in 2002, it works in Sre Po village and the wider Stung Treng community to lift rural families out of poverty. Its activities include vocational training and employment for women, a support scheme for small business start-ups, a free on-site health clinic, a daily nutrition programme, kindergarten and child care, school sponsorship, and English and computer classes. Women employed through its silk-weaving and other work have historically produced scarves sold through its online store, with proceeds funding its programmes. SWDC was co-founded by Chantha Nguon and Dara Chan Kim, who had previously worked with Médecins Sans Frontières in Stung Treng and run a hospice for people living with HIV.
