Founded in 2014, Sunbird Trust is a charity based in Bangalore, India working on education, peace & conflict, community development.

Sunbird Trust is a secular, non-religious and apolitical charitable organisation founded in 2014 and registered in December 2014. It works in remote and conflict-affected parts of North East India, mainly Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, and parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Sikkim, under the motto 'Peace through Education'. The organisation builds schools and hostels, provides child sponsorships and scholarships, and supports livelihood development and community engagement to foster trust and national integration between communities. It was founded by Col. Christopher Rego, a retired Indian Army officer, after his service in conflict-affected Mizoram and Manipur. The organisation states it has created 34 schools and hostels and sponsored the education of 10,000 children across the North East states. Its stated goals include positively impacting 5,00,000 people through community development by 2030 and raising 50 schools and hostels in the region by 2030. Sunbird Trust is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, and runs its work through partner schools and its own teams in the North East.
