Svět bez válek a násilí is a registered Czech civic association and the Czech branch of the international humanist organisation World without Wars and Violence, founded in Spain in 1995. It works to promote peace and nonviolence, with a focus on wars, armament, nuclear disarmament and nonviolent culture. Its activities in the Czech Republic include campaigns, documentary screenings, panel discussions, seminars and community dinners, run by unpaid volunteers. It is funded by member contributions and private donations and does not accept public or corporate funding. The organisation also runs the Humanistic Centre in Prague and a news agency. Its work is carried out across the Czech Republic.
