Founded in 1998, Tappancs Állatotthon Alapítvány és Őrszolgálat is a non-governmental organisation based in Tatabánya, Hungary working on animal welfare.

Tappancs Állatotthon Alapítvány és Őrszolgálat is a Hungarian animal welfare foundation founded in 1998. It operates an animal shelter in Tatabánya that provides temporary housing for stray and abandoned animals, rehabilitates them, and places them with responsible adoptive families. The foundation also takes action against animal cruelty together with local authorities and police, runs neutering campaigns, organises events and public education on responsible pet ownership, and holds summer camps for children at the shelter. It was first active in Tata without a premises before moving to Tatabánya in 2004, and it developed its current site on former pig farm land leased from a local institution. Support comes mainly from individual donations, in-kind gifts and the 1% personal income tax allocation.
