Teach For Qatar is a local non-governmental organisation based in Qatar that works to improve education in the country. It recruits and trains graduates and professionals, Qatari nationals or long-term residents, who commit to a two-year full-time teaching and leadership programme in public schools, teaching Arabic, Mathematics, Science or English to students in grades 3 to 9. It also runs the MEDD leadership enrichment programme for professionals and the Diwan Al-Taaleem digital platform for teachers. The organisation works with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which sets the subject and eligibility criteria, and was founded by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani.
