TERRA Foundation for Environment Protection and Education is a public-benefit (közhasznú) foundation based in Debrecen, Hungary. It develops free multimedia educational and identification materials that aim to improve environmental awareness and support biology teaching. Its online and CD-ROM resources cover Hungarian plants, trees and shrubs, large fungi, fishes, the Gömör-Torna karst and Putnok hills region, and the 2000 cyanide and heavy-metal pollution of the Tisza. The foundation is largely supported by individual donations through the personal income tax 1% designation (SZJA 1%) and by public grants.
