Tett és Védelem Alapítvány

Founded in 2012, Tett és Védelem Alapítvány is a non-governmental organisation based in Budapest, Hungary working on human rights, justice & legal aid.

The Action and Protection Foundation (Tett és Védelem Alapítvány, TEV) is a Hungarian foundation established in November 2012 on the initiative of Rabbi Slomó Köves and the EMIH Jewish community. It works to counter antisemitism and hate, and to strengthen Jewish identity and community self-organisation in Hungary. Its activities include monitoring and reporting antisemitic incidents, including through AI-based monitoring tools, providing legal aid and advice to victims, running an educational programme, conducting prejudice research, and operating the SHOMRIM volunteer network to protect Jewish institutions and community events. The foundation cooperates with Jewish and human rights organisations in Hungary and abroad, and engages with political and governmental bodies on combating antisemitism.
