About

Founded in 2005, The Art of Autism is a charity based in United States working on arts & culture, disability.

The Art of Autism is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit and international collaboration that supports and showcases autistic artists, musicians, filmmakers, poets and writers, as well as neurodivergent creatives. It runs an online gallery, publishes blog posts, art and poetry, and hosts a newsletter of opportunities. It also offers mentorship, art exhibits, neurodiversity panels, workshops, and merchandise licensed from its artists. Its stated mission is to empower autistic people and their families through participation in the arts. The organisation partners with museums, autism organisations and arts groups to hold exhibits and events, and it pays some neurodivergent bloggers for submissions. Its board includes autistic and non-autistic members.
