The Centre for Cross Border Studies, also referred to as the Centre for Cross Border Cooperation, is an independent charity based in Armagh, Northern Ireland, established in 1999. It works to empower citizens and build capacity for cross-border cooperation across the Ireland-Northern Ireland border, and between the island of Ireland, Great Britain and Europe. Its work includes research and policy analysis for legislators and decision-makers, training and mentoring for cross-border project partnerships, publication of a journal and newsletter, and providing secretariat services for Universities Ireland and SCoTENS. It also holds an annual conference and takes no position on the future constitutional status of Northern Ireland, focusing instead on cooperation in the border region and the peace and reconciliation process.
