The Everest Network
Kathmandu, Nepal
About
The Everest Network is a non-profit network based in Kathmandu, Nepal working on environment & climate.
The Everest Network is an inclusive network of local community-based organisations (CBOs) in Nepal that implement local work. Its members share resources and support each other to better cope with the challenges of climate change. The network runs a monthly virtual seminar series on climate change topics to build members' understanding and capacity, and was formed following workshops on post-disaster capacity strain among local CBOs after the 2015 earthquake and COVID-19. It is coordinated by a core group of five founding members and operates from the offices of Just Nepal Foundation in Kathmandu, with members across several provinces of Nepal.
