About
Founded in 2002, The Treehouse Foundation is a non-governmental organisation based in Easthampton, United States working on children & youth, community development, housing & homelessness.
The Treehouse Foundation is a nonprofit founded in 2002 that works to reenvision foster care in the United States. It builds affordable, replicable intergenerational communities where families raising children from foster care, young people at risk of aging out of the child welfare system, and older adults live together. Through its ReEnvisioning Foster Care Champions initiative, it identifies and honours leaders with lived experience of the child welfare system, and it runs the INNOVATE! podcast, youth leadership and arts programmes, and national advocacy to promote collaboration and reform in child welfare. Based in Easthampton, Massachusetts, it operates community sites there and in Boston, and holds an annual Runway 5K fundraiser.
