Tierhilfe Horsearound is a non-profit association founded in 2012 that rescues and cares for horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, alpacas, sheep, goats, poultry and other farm animals in emergency situations. The animals live on an organic farm in Heiligenbrunn, Burgenland, Austria, with large pastures and group housing, and are kept for life. The association holds official approval as an animal shelter under Austrian animal welfare law and is the only shelter in Burgenland for farm animals. It also creates habitats for wild animals such as birds, amphibians and insects. The work is carried out entirely by volunteers and funded by donations, sponsorships and memberships.
