About
Founded in 2012, Tierschutz Sonne is a charity based in Moosburg, Austria working on animal welfare.
Tierschutz Sonne is an Austrian animal welfare association based in Carinthia, founded in March 2012 by private volunteers. It rehomes dogs and cats from shelters and street situations in Serbia, mainly in Niš, placing them with families across Austria and southern Germany. Its work includes funding shelter care, food, veterinary treatment, neutering projects and foster care in Serbia, and it accompanies adopters before and after placement. The association works entirely on a volunteer basis, and donations are used directly for its projects and the animals in its care. It is financed through donations, sponsorships, collection boxes placed by businesses and supporters, and fundraising events.
