TOPAZ

Founded in 2012, TOPAZ is a think tank based in Praha 1, Czech Republic working on democracy & civil society, education.

TOPAZ is a Czech think tank founded in April 2012 as a civic association and now operating as a registered association (z.s.) in Prague. It describes itself as the official think tank of the TOP 09 political party, though it presents itself as an independent space for public debate. Its work includes organising public debates, international conferences, roundtables and seminars for professionals, the public and politicians, and publishing analyses, studies and policy papers on topics such as European security, Russian hybrid threats, democracy, the United States, migration, and other current issues. It also offers internships to students and runs a Karel Schwarzenberg Award for student papers. The organisation is funded through donations, which it invites supporters to make by bank transfer with a donation agreement.
