Transparency International Austria

Founded in 2005, Transparency International Austria is a non-governmental organisation based in Wien, Austria working on democracy & civil society, justice & legal aid, health.

Transparency International Austria (TI-Austria) is the Austrian national chapter of Transparency International, a non-profit association founded in 2005. It works to prevent corruption and promote transparency, accountability and integrity in Austria across public administration, politics, justice, business, health care, education and the media. Its activities include analysing municipal transparency, monitoring anti-corruption legislation, publishing policy demands and position papers, running working groups with volunteer experts, and conducting research such as studies on third-party funding at Austrian universities. It also runs an integrity pact for parliamentary building works and public outreach through events, school workshops and press work. The association is funded by membership fees and donations, and holds the Austrian Donation Seal of Approval. Its office is in Vienna.
