U are Special is a non-profit association based in Wiener Neustadt, Austria working on disability, children & youth, community development.

U are Special is an Austrian non-profit association founded by parents of children with disabilities who wanted to support other families facing the same situation. Based in Wiener Neustadt, it helps families navigate bureaucracy and forms, offers emotional support, and runs regular meetings, outings, a creative workshop, a UK-Café and online and in-person education. It also works to raise awareness of disability and promote inclusion, organises events such as Christmas celebrations, charity football and golf tournaments and a summer festival, and carries out inclusion projects such as an inclusive playground in Linz. Its activities cover Lower Austria, Vienna, Burgenland, Upper Austria and Salzburg, with a stated aim of addressing need across Austria. Its work is funded mainly by donations, membership fees and sponsors.
