Udruženje Snaga žene is a non-governmental, non-partisan association founded in 1999. It provides psychological, social, medical, pedagogical, legal and economic support to women, adolescents and children who have experienced traumatic events from the war and post-war period in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of ethnic, religious, political or racial affiliation, with a focus on victims of wartime sexual violence. Its activities are based primarily in the Tuzla Canton and eastern Republika Srpska, with work extended to other areas of BiH including Brčko, Modriča, Šamac, Mostar, Bijeljina, Vareš, Višegrad and Goražde. The association also runs a horticultural therapy garden, the social cooperative Zelena mreža, and advocacy for better social, medical, educational and judicial services sensitive to war trauma and violence against women and children.
