About

Founded in 2002, UGOŠ is a non-profit association based in Beograd, Serbia working on health.

UGOŠ is a non-profit citizens' association founded in 2002 in Serbia to support people with Gaucher disease and their families. It brings together almost all patients with the condition in Serbia. The association works on advocacy with institutions, doctors and pharmaceutical companies to improve treatment access and quality of life, and campaigns to raise public awareness of Gaucher disease through media appearances and events. It provides education through lectures by doctors and specialists, publishes information for patients and families, including the Goše klub newsletter and the Goše skener research report, and runs member gatherings such as annual assemblies and regional meetings. It also works on destigmatisation and on securing social and healthcare rights, and cooperates with regional patient groups, the International Gaucher Alliance and the National Organisation for Rare Diseases of Serbia.
