V_ega is a non-profit association based in Innsbruck that promotes gender equality. Since 2017 it has run the FrauenBerufsZentrum Osttirol in Lienz on behalf of the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS Tirol). The centre offers free counselling for women on employment, training, job applications and career paths, including coaching, competence analysis, German courses and interpreting support for migrant women. It also runs the Perspektivenwerkstatt course for job-seeking women, and Girls Day technology workshops that encourage young women to consider technical careers. The association advocates for equal opportunities and women's rights in Austria and holds events and conferences such as the 'Frauen Zukunft Arbeitswelt' series.
