The Világítani Fogok Egyesület is a Hungarian public-benefit association working in Kerecsend, a village among the 300 poorest settlements in Hungary. It supports disadvantaged families, particularly children, through prenatal and early-years family mentoring, child development and psychologist support, debt counselling, job-market mentoring, health screenings, housing and garden programmes, drug prevention, youth clubs, summer camps and leisure activities. It works with the local municipality, state bodies and civil partners, and is largely funded by EU and state programme grants alongside donations, which it is seeking to increase to reduce dependence on project funding.
