VLM also raises funds from donors, schools and parishes in Ireland and channels them to partner projects, such as school places, disability units, health facilities and vocational training. It runs a Schools Immersion Programme for Irish students and teachers, along with volunteer preparation and pre-departure training. Governance is by a voluntary Board of Directors, and the day-to-day work is led by a Coordinator.
