Vine International is a non-profit that collects donated medical supplies in the United States and distributes them to healthcare providers and ministries in Guatemala. It works through a relational model: it connects supply sources with local clinics, hospitals and ministries that treat poor families, while those partners provide the clinical care. Vine operates a U.S. collection facility in Knoxville, Tennessee and a Guatemala office and distribution centre in San José Pinula. It states that its model could be applied in other countries. Vine has worked in Guatemala since 1993 and says more than 120 ministries, organisations and individuals use its warehouse.
