Founded in 1991, Volunteering Australia is a non-profit network based in Canberra, Australia working on community development, employment & skills, human rights.

Volunteering Australia is the national peak body for volunteering in Australia, established in 1991. It provides national leadership, coordination and advocacy across the volunteering ecosystem and brings together State and Territory Volunteering Peak Bodies to support a cohesive national approach. Its work includes policy development and advocacy, research and knowledge sharing, ecosystem support and infrastructure, and the provision of frameworks, tools and resources for volunteer engagement and organisational capacity. It also runs national volunteering initiatives such as National Volunteer Week and the Volunteering Gateway, and makes submissions to government on matters affecting volunteering. The organisation is based in Canberra and serves volunteers, volunteer involving organisations and communities across Australia. It also commits to reconciliation with First Nations peoples and to equity, diversity and inclusion in volunteering.
