Wildlife Initiative is a non-profit organisation founded in 2020 in Mongolia, focused on wildlife conservation and research. It runs camera-trap based population studies of threatened species such as the Pallas's cat and snow leopard, works with local herding communities as field assistants, and carries out conservation projects in Mongolia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Namibia. Its work aims to protect threatened and less-known species and restore their ecosystems, with a focus on areas where research and conservation are hard to carry out. It collaborates with universities, government and non-government institutions and relies on donations, sponsorships and corporate partnerships.
