About
World Parrot Trust is a charity based in Hayle, United Kingdom working on nature & wildlife conservation, animal welfare, science & research.
The World Parrot Trust is a conservation charity that works to protect wild parrots and improve the welfare of companion parrots. Since 1989 it has led or supported conservation work for more than 80 parrot species in 45 countries. Its work includes habitat protection, research and population surveys, rescue and rehabilitation of parrots caught in the illegal wild bird trade, and campaigns against trafficking and trade. It works with local communities so they can take responsibility for conservation in their own regions. The organisation also publishes guidance on parrot care and a magazine, PsittaScene, and runs a monthly newsletter for parrot owners and supporters. It has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
