ZO ČSOP Buchlovice

Founded in 2003, ZO ČSOP Buchlovice is a non-profit association based in Buchlovice, Czech Republic working on nature & wildlife conservation, animal welfare, environment & climate.

ZO ČSOP Buchlovice is a local branch of the Czech Society for Nature Conservation (Český svaz ochránců přírody), a civic association in Buchlovice, Czech Republic. Since 2003 it has operated the wildlife rescue station in the grounds of the Buchlovice state château. The station rescues, treats and rehabilitates injured wild animals, with a focus on birds of prey, owls, storks and other birds, and releases recovered animals back into the wild. It covers the Zlín Region and several municipalities in the South Moravian Region. The organisation also runs an educational exhibition of permanently disabled animals, installs nesting boxes and platforms for birds, plants trees, and organises lectures and public awareness campaigns on nature protection. It is funded mainly by subsidies, donations, sponsors and grants.
