The Zuglói Polgárőr és Önkéntes Tűzoltó Egyesület is a volunteer association founded in 1990 in Budapest's Zugló district. It carries out community crime prevention and neighbourhood patrols in cooperation with the local police and the district municipality, and runs a volunteer fire brigade section, established in 2006 and given independent intervention status in 2015, which responds to incidents mainly in Zugló and assists professional firefighters across Budapest. The association also runs school crime-prevention programmes, victim protection services, advice for elderly residents, and charitable activities such as water distribution during heatwaves, blood donation drives and food package distribution. Its work is aimed at the residents of Zugló. It is a member of the Országos Polgárőr Szövetség and the Budapesti Polgárőr Szövetség.
