About
Founded in 2024, ACHIEVE is a government headquartered in Rome, Italy specializing in Hydrogen.
ACHIEVE is a research and development initiative funded by the European Union, launched in February 2024 and coordinated by Sapienza University of Rome. The project focuses on advancing gas turbine technology to enable stable combustion of unconventional hydrogen blends (combinations of hydrogen, ammonia, methane, nitrogen, and water vapor) while reducing pollutant emissions including CO2 and NOx. The consortium conducts fundamental research on combustion dynamics, develops novel combustor systems, creates computational tools and chemical kinetics models, and designs real-time monitoring systems for flame stability. The project bridges renewable energy intermittency by making gas turbines compatible with clean hydrogen blends, targeting Technology Readiness Level 4 validation.
