The organization operates an innovative model where sponsors—corporations, organizations, and individuals—donate funds to install and maintain Level 2 and DC Fast charging stations in widely-used public places including national parks, state parks, museums, universities, medical centers, and recreational areas. The organization focuses on serving underserved markets, including emerging markets and remote or rural locations where commercial charging infrastructure is difficult to develop. Adopt a Charger has installed charging stations across multiple states including California, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Michigan, partnering with entities such as the Los Angeles Zoo, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Entergy, and various state parks.
