Established under the mandate of the African Union and approved by Heads of State, it focuses on developing integrated solutions to increase access to clean energy services, improve human well-being, and put African countries on a path to sustainable and climate-friendly development. The initiative coordinates technical assistance, energy sector policy, capacity building, small-scale installations with high socio-economic impact, and electricity production and energy efficiency projects across participating African nations.
