Agrivaldivert is an agrivoltaic project based in Valdivienne, France, that combines agricultural production with solar photovoltaic energy generation. The cooperative comprises 11 farmers working collectively to develop sustainable energy solutions while maintaining agricultural activities, particularly sheep farming. The project uses mono-pieu structures—both fixed and tracker systems—installed at minimum heights of 1.2 meters to enable continued mechanized farming underneath. The infrastructure is fully reversible, with no concrete embedded in soil, allowing restoration of land to its original state after 40 years of operation. The project aligns with French energy transition objectives and addresses regional energy independence while preserving food sovereignty and supporting the sheep farming tradition in Montmorillonnais.
