About
Agrivoltaisme-a-gy is a renewable energy company headquartered in Gy-les-Nonains, France specializing in Solar.
The Agrivoltaisme-a-gy project is an agrivoltaic development initiative led by GAEC de la Petite Brosse, a 360-hectare organic farming operation specializing in Black Angus beef cattle. Developed in partnership with Efea, a specialized engineering firm, the project combines solar photovoltaic generation with active agricultural use through controllable tracker technology. The planned 20-25 MWc solar array is designed to provide shade management for cattle, reduce water stress on pastures, and optimize microclimatic conditions across the farm. The project includes 2+ kilometers of landscape hedgerows using local species to minimize visual impact and enhance biodiversity. Panels are oriented to allow full light penetration to vegetation below when needed, with farmers able to adjust inclination based on seasonal agricultural requirements. Expected annual electricity production is 35 GWh. The project emphasizes complete reversibility, with removable structures and full soil restoration planned at end-of-life. Community participation is enabled through participatory financing mechanisms including the Sun Club program. The initiative generates estimated 200,000 euros in annual fiscal returns for the local territory.
