Avy is an unmanned aviation company based in Amsterdam that manufactures autonomous VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) drone networks. The Aera drone features a 100km range on a single charge, 60-minute typical flight time, and carries payloads up to 3kg. The system operates fully autonomously from integrated docking stations that enable launch, landing, and charging without on-site personnel. The drones operate in diverse weather conditions including rain and winds up to 35 knots. Primary use cases include emergency response (drone-as-first-responder), remote monitoring of large areas (up to 7,850km² coverage from a single station), intelligent surveillance with AI-driven alerts, maritime operations, medical delivery, and wildlife conservation. The company holds the first BVLOS LUC (Light UAS Operator Certificate) in the Netherlands and has deployed systems with clients including the Port of Rotterdam and Royal Dutch Navy.
