Founded in 2016, BaityKool is a private headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with approximately 50-200 employees specializing in Solar.
BaityKool is a multidisciplinary research and development project that created an 80m² prototype dwelling adapted to Middle Eastern climate conditions. The structure integrates solar panels within a contemporary mashrabiya design for maximum energy generation from sunrise to sunset. The building features an aquaponic system for food production, radiative sky cooling panels for nighttime cooling, wastewater recycling, and bioclimatic architecture that maximizes inner courtyard openings while minimizing external heat gain. Originally conceived for the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 competition, the prototype has been installed as a living lab since 2021 for ongoing innovation testing and development. The team included over 100 students and professionals from universities and organizations across the UAE, France, and Palestine.
