BeFlexible is a renewable energy company specializing in Energy Storage.

BeFlexible is a European Union-funded innovation project led by i-DE (Iberdrola's distribution company) that aims to enhance electricity system flexibility and resilience. The project brings together 20 partners and 3 affiliated entities from 7 European countries representing a multi-stakeholder approach across the entire energy value chain. It operates through four main pillars: Markets and Regulation, Services Ecosystem, Platforms & Architecture, and Customer Engagement and Social Co-creation. The project deploys 12 pilots across different European climates and grid typologies in Spain, Italy, Sweden, and France to test solutions for increasing prosumer participation, improving Distribution System Operator (DSO) and Transmission System Operator (TSO) cooperation, and enabling flexibility services from distributed energy resources. Key technological components include DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems), Grid Data and Business Networks, and interoperable digital platforms developed by partners including SAP and Schneider Electric.
