BEST-Storage is a renewable energy company specializing in Energy Storage.

BEST-Storage is a collaborative research and innovation project funded by the European Union, coordinated by SOLINTEL. The project develops long and short-term high-energy density storage solutions for building heating and cooling applications. Key technologies include thermo-chemical storage (NaOH-based with 350 kWh/m³ energy density), phase change material (PCM) slurries, and sensible heat storage systems. The project features three real demonstration cases, one emulated demo, and virtual cases across Europe (Spain, Greece, Estonia, and Switzerland), testing in different climate zones and building typologies. Advanced controls using model predictive algorithms optimize operation for cost reduction (15% savings vs. rule-based controls), peak load shifting, and thermal comfort. The consortium includes 12 partners from 7 EU countries, with expertise in energy storage development, building integration, monitoring, and market analysis.
