About
Founded in 2017, BIO2CHP is a renewable energy company headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece specializing in Biomass.
BIO2CHP is a university spin-off from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, established in 2017. It develops small-scale, fuel-flexible waste-to-energy technology that converts raw residual biomass, such as grape marcs, coffee grounds, olive and almond residues, into syngas and combined heat and power on-site. The technology combines a bubbling fluidized bed gasifier, a hot gas filtration system, a gas engine-based CHP generator and an automated control system. Its product line includes the BIO2CHP and BIO2SynG units, aimed at agro-food SMEs and biogas operators, along with standalone drying, filtering and pyrolysis developments. Systems are delivered in standard containers and monitored through cloud-based software.
