Founded in 2015, BioEUParks is a renewable energy company specializing in Biomass.
BioEUParks is an Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE II) programme project that addresses the intersection of nature conservation and sustainable biomass exploitation for energy. The project operates across five European nature parks, focusing on establishing efficient and sustainable woody biomass supply chains from sustainably managed forests and agricultural residues. The initiative emphasizes short, local supply chains and small-scale energy production, engaging protected area managers as key actors in sustainable biomass utilization. The project applies co-design and co-creation approaches with local stakeholders, organizing consultations and roundtables to overcome potential barriers and conflicts between different actors.
