Bladetracker has developed a proprietary method for inspecting wind turbine blades while turbines remain in operation. The inspection process involves positioning a camera at a horizontal distance equal to hub height (45-degree angle) and capturing paired images of the lower blade rotation sections, with emphasis on leading and trailing edges. The system records camera angle data to facilitate photogrammetry analysis. The company has conducted extensive field testing to scale from mid-size to larger turbines and holds patent applications for the technology. Currently offering onshore inspections in the Netherlands, with offshore systems under development.
