The company's core technology is a floating offshore wind support structure derived from best practices in the oil and gas sector, specifically adapted for North Sea conditions. The concept features a dual-tower design that optimizes steelwork processes, reduces material below the waterline, and enables smaller vessels to perform inspections and repairs without heavy lifting equipment. The support structure is scalable to 12 MW and designed to achieve lower levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) compared to current floating offshore wind installations, which range between 150-200 euros/MWh. Bluewind is owned by Valinor Energy, Norway's largest privately held wind and solar producer.
