Founded in 2021, BrightSpace is a ngo headquartered in Netherlands specializing in Biomass.

BrightSpace is a Horizon Europe-funded research project addressing EU agricultural sustainability through an integrated approach to the Safe and Just Operating Space (SJOS) concept. The project develops harmonized data frameworks and modelling toolboxes to project agricultural futures to 2050, analyzing technological innovations, policy impacts, and consumer preferences. It comprises 14 partners from 9 European countries plus the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. Key outputs include enhanced modelling capacity for biophysical and socio-economic domains, empirical evidence on policy effectiveness, and roadmaps for transition pathways balancing environmental limits with social equity in food systems.
