Carbo Culture is a project developer with proprietary Carbolysis technology that converts waste biomass into high-quality biochar through advanced pyrolysis, permanently sequestering carbon while generating renewable heat and power. The company produces biochar with over 90% carbon content, locking away more than 3 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of biochar. Their co-location model integrates renewable energy and carbon removal with industrial operations, particularly in horticulture and steel production. They have deployed pilot facilities in Finland and are scaling commercial operations, including the ARC Middenmeer facility in North Holland. The company aims to remove 1 billion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere.
