Founded in 2023, COCOLIH2T is a ngo headquartered in Netherlands specializing in Hydrogen.

COCOLIH2T is a research and innovation action funded by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking under the Horizon Europe programme. The project, running from February 2023 for 36 months, focuses on designing, developing, manufacturing, and demonstrating a disruptive innovative composite, conformal liquid hydrogen (LH2) storage solution for commercial aerospace applications. The multi-material thermoplastic composite tank aims to achieve more than 60% reduction in production energy consumption and at least 50% reduction in production time. Key objectives include material selection and maturation, composite conformal tank design with thermal and pressure management, development of refueling and gauging systems, tank health monitoring, and life cycle safety evaluation. The system will be demonstrated at TRL4 by project end. The consortium will deliver two functional demonstrators for validation and testing.
