About
Founded in 2006, Comité Interprofessionnel du Bois-Energie is a ngo headquartered in Paris, France specializing in Biomass, Biogas.
The Comité Interprofessionnel du Bois-Energie (CIBE) is a technical association of wood-energy professionals created in 2006 by AMORCE, ATEE, Biomasse Normandie, and FNB with ADEME support. It coordinates and accompanies actors in collective and industrial wood-energy heating to professionalize practices, establish technical standards, train professionals, and promote medium and large-capacity boilers. CIBE works with approximately 150 member companies spanning project owners, wood industry professionals, and energy sector actors. The organization provides technical classifications of fuels, technical notes on emission reductions and condensation, ash valorization guidance, financing modes, and economic simulations. It facilitates implementation of the European RED directive on renewable energies in the wood-energy sector and organizes training programs including ENERBOIS (project development) and ADOBOIS (operation and maintenance). CIBE coordinates a consortium addressing RED directive transposition and serves as a technical reference to French authorities.
