Founded in 2024, CoWatt is a co-op headquartered in Nantes, France specializing in Solar.

CoWatt is a cooperative platform enabling citizens to invest in and collectively develop renewable energy projects across Pays de la Loire. Members purchase shares in solar installations and retain control over local energy production through participatory governance. The organization coordinates multiple community groups (such as ECLA, ECLEM, Enercla, and others) that identify rooftop and ground-mounted sites for photovoltaic development. Projects are funded through citizen investment campaigns managed via the CoopHub platform. Members can also provide loans to CoWatt through associated accounts.
