About

Founded in 2020, CSSC Lab is a ngo headquartered in Czech Republic specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.

CSSC Lab is an INTERREG-financed initiative running from July 2020 to December 2022 that addresses energy security and efficiency in medium-sized and smaller cities throughout the Danube region. The project tests and supports the roll-out of innovative city storage and sector coupling solutions at the municipal level, combining renewable energy from multiple sectors (electricity, heating, transport) with energy storage technologies. The partnership comprises 17 project partners and 12 associated strategic partners across 11 European countries. Key activities include operating four demonstration centers in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovenia; delivering capacity building programs with 600+ municipal participants across 11 partner regions; creating regional action plans and model solutions; and developing an online platform providing live data and technical resources. The project emphasizes maximizing renewable energy effectiveness through battery storage, thermal storage, and cross-sector applications such as solar-powered EV charging and solar thermal heating for public buildings.
