Dalfsen Stroomt is a cooperative renewable energy organization that owns and operates a solar photovoltaic installation with 2,030 panels installed on the roof of Foreco, a woodworking company on the Rechteren estate near Dalfsen. The cooperative has approximately 150 member households and businesses who collectively own the panels and receive proportional shares of the electricity generated. Each member's share is determined by participation in a set number of panels, with a maximum limit of 80% of their annual electricity consumption. The installation became operational on December 3, 2018, marking the first project in the Netherlands to utilize both the postcode regulation and commercial bank financing. The solar park generates sufficient electricity for approximately 250 households with average consumption. By 2024, the cumulative output reached 2,897,124 kWh, exceeding initial forecasts of 2,728,903 kWh. The cooperative also manages a second project, Vinkenbuurt Stroomt, and actively seeks additional rooftop locations and business participants.
