About
Danu Offshore Wind Farm is a renewable energy company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland specializing in Wind.
Danu Offshore Wind Farm is a large-scale renewable energy development located in the Celtic Sea, off the south east coast of Ireland, entirely outside Ireland's 12 nautical mile foreshore limit. The project is being progressed by Source Galileo in support of Ireland's Climate Action Plan and binding targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. When optimized, the wind farm is expected to have a capacity of up to 1000MW, delivering sufficient electricity to meet the needs of over 850,000 households and offsetting over 1.5 million tonnes of harmful carbon emissions annually. The proposed array area is approximately 430 square kilometres, with surveyed water depths averaging 90 metres, suitable for floating turbine technology. The project includes ongoing bird and marine mammal surveys, community benefit funding, and commitment to stakeholder engagement throughout development phases.
